The Registry is a large and complex database, essential to Windows. It stores virtually every important detail about your hardware and software. Indeed, Windows does a pretty good job of maintaining the registry. However because of its complex nature and occasional incorrect use, corruption and orphaned entries do occur. As these problems accumulate it takes longer to sort through them, making your computer run slower - bogged down with inaccurate information. Warning signs that your Registry may be in need of a CheckUp are poor or slow performance, freezes, odd behavior, intermittent crashes, and applications that no longer work.

Why do Registry problems happen?
- There are many reasons for registry problems but some of the most common ones include:
- Deleting an application without properly uninstalling it.
- Deleting files or folders that entries in the registry reference.
- Poorly written uninstall programs that do not cleanup correctly.
- Failures during program install and uninstall.
